TWO WAYS TO SLEEP PEACEFULLY AT NIGHT

Do you know that feeling when you wake up REALLY well-rested and energized?


Or maybe you have that feeling of anxiety the moment you lay on your bed before you sleep at night?


I don't blame you, dear friend. We've all experienced that at one point or another.


It's hard to wake up feeling refreshed if you haven't gotten enough good sleep. And we all know that good sleep is VITAL for our health. Poor sleeping habits can have negative effects on our health. An average person needs to sleep for seven to nine hours per night.


That feeling of anxiety is normal every now and then, BUT if it happens to be affecting your sleep, it's time to try something helpful.


So, I'm sharing some helpful TIPS for you to sleep well every night:



1. Say a prayer of GRATITUDE.


Every night before you go to sleep, recall moments of your day that made you smile. Thank God for those moments.


Now you might say that you encountered a lot of negativities today- at work, at school, etc., but I believe that no matter how bad you think your day went, THERE'S always something to be grateful for.


Studies have revealed that gratitude helps us to be more optimistic.


When we choose to recall the good experiences, good people, and good things that were part of our day, it makes it harder for us to dwell on negative things.



2. Say a prayer of FORGIVENESS.


Sometimes, it can be hard to come before God after a stressful day but connecting with Him is the most effective way we can recharge. If there were people in your life who hurt you, ask God to help you extend forgiveness and give you a heart of compassion.


As you reflect on your day, remember particular times when you fell short. Bring your shortcomings to God and receive His gift of grace.


Remember, YOU have to forgive yourself, too. It will free you.



At the end of the day, only two things matter:


1. You're able to connect with the Life Source


2. You sleep with a light and peaceful heart.
